Update - satisfaction!

Finally....

I found someone at parcel2go to speak to that is honest, polite, helpful and very professional.

And - they called me. And took the time to explain how they are trying to improve things, and where they have gone wrong, and what they will be doing to address that.

The person I spoke to has been in the job for around 6 months and I believe isactually trying to make a difference. To be fair to parcel2go at this point they must have identified that there were problems, and have hired this person to try and sort them out. And they have been refreshingly honest and helpful at least towards me.

Apart from explaining how things went wrong and what they intend to do about it to ensure it doesn't happen again, the person I spoke to told me that they have been examining claims for damage or lost parcels that have happened previously but were not accepted, and is now prepared to look at each of these again with a fresh view.

They have asked that I make it clear that they cannot guarantee all reviews will be sucessful, but they are willing to look at them again and have asked that I put details up on here to advise how to go about asking for a review.

If you have had a claim rejected in the past and consider this to be a wrong decision, please email details of this to the address at the bottom of this.

I hope that this can help a few people out, and for those of you who like me have had shoddy service from parcel2go previously, I would honestly advise trying again. There seems to be an air of change about the place, and for that they should be proud.

I have now received a full refund of my postage costs, the claim for damage on the item has now been settled and they were gracious enough to offer me £20.00 worth of free postage (which I'm still a little nervous to use!). Apart from that there have been no pay offs or backhanders to me before you assume otherwise.

They did get things wrong (again), and it did take a lot of fuss to get things put right, but at least this time I have come away fairly happy that they recognise the problems and are trying to resolve them.

Now the all important address for those of you wishing to appeal a previously unsucessful claim:

quality@parcel2go.com

For those of you who do decide to appeal against an old claim, please be sure to let me know how you get on by using our "your say" section at the top.
