  1. I have recently had the misfortune of using these cowboys! Used them 3 times before and never had a problem, until now! I recently sold a laptop on ebay and arranged for P2G to send it. I paid £11 and they gave me a pick up date. I waited in all day on the pickup date and was sent a text stating the pick up would be between 2:30 and 5:30. No one came!

I contacted them the next day via their live chat facility to see what happened and they showed me a transaction log from the courier which said "unable to pick up from customer, property inaccessible". I basically live on a main road and I am surrounded by shops so how is that inaccessible? Pathetic!

Anyway the operator tells me that they cant rearrange re-collection until the following day. Obviously i'm not happy about this and demand they pick it up today and they refuse making excuses. So, like an idiot I agree and they book it in for the following day.

I wait around all day again and the time is getting on. Its getting late. Totally peeved off I contact them again to find out why it hasnt been picked up again. The operator used the same excuse of 'inaccessible property' yet again! I thought WTF? Then I tell them that its starting to become a joke!

At this point I start to insult them by calling them cowboys and f'ing this f'ing that and I demand a refund although there is not any response from them at this point. They tell me I have to wait 5 days for it to be processed but after reading the other horror stories on here and the fact that others have been left hanging, I have threatened them with legal action and a complaint to office of fair trading as well to get the message across. For what its worth.

I can't believe I was stupid enough to trust these f*cking unprofessional idiots with the simple task of picking up a parcel! It really does defy logic just how incompetent these cowboys really are.

Thats pretty much taught me to steer well clear of them, and if you have got any sense you will too! It's just not worth the grief! Life is short enough as it is without having to waste hours of your life waiting for these tossers and then they don't turn up! Totally unforgivable!

Thanks a lot Parcel Too Blow! You SUCK!

  2. WHAT A SPLENDID SITE, OH MY GOD I SO WISH I HAD FOUND IT EARLIER....like you, I got stung, this is my story,

    Hi

I have had the misfortune to TRY to use the services of Parcel2go of

Bolton and I am writing to alert your readers of the con they are doing

    online.

They are offering cheaper DHL service house collections from Spain to

the UK, than DHL themselves price up on their website.

    So, I booked a parcel for collection 72x 68 x 9cms from Antequera,

Malaga, Spain to be collected on Monday 8.3.09 paid a lot, and they

had from Friday previous to advise me that NO SUCH

SERVICE EXISTED, but did not bother.

So, Monday arrives and I sit in all day...nothing, by mid pm I had sent

3 emails as I was dubious.

    Nothing...

Later I did the online Chat to an agent, who assured me that

it would be collected...nothing, by 7.30pm (all Spanish timings), I did

a further Chat to an agent online, and guess what her system had

    problems.

Though I was made to pay up immediately via Paypal, they now say they

will refund me within 5 working days, so have sat on MY money and

clearly many more people's money for as long as they wish.

I asked for their CEO and MD's emails - 3 times infact, and was

    repeatedly refused....

So....to cut a long story short, I then found another broker who I

booked the parcel out with Parcel Line, who similarly took the booking

but at least had the good grace to call me and explain that quote, "DHL

HAVE STOPPED THE HOUSEHOLD COLLECTION SERVICE LAST DECEMBER

09 AND ONLY DO COLLECTIONS FROM BUSINESSES".

    So, I am awaiting a 2nd refund.....

My point is that PARCEL2GO know the score and are taking people's money

off them knowing there is no service of household collections here in

Spain. They then sit on it, front stupid people who are paid just to

take the flack and run a business on client's credit.

I am copying this to Manchester Evening News, the Postcom Regulator,

and who ever else I can think of...it's disgusting. I am so enraged...

If someone needs to contact me I am on 0034 952 739734.

    A Harper

So, here's the thing, I am a lobbyist, sit back and watch boys.....

  3. DO NOT use Parcel2Go.

That is if you expect your parcels to be collected on the date they tell you. I have a 50% fail rate with them - they are utterly useless to anyone who expects a reliable service - i.e. most of us. Customer service is equally useless. They will say of their appalling service 'that is your opinion'. Actually no - it's not my opinion - it is a FACT of my dealings with them in hard cold figures - FACT not opinion!

    Avoid at all costs.

  4. Same old story.

Parcel delivered to Scotland instead of Poland. No responsibility taken by p2go. Crap, will never use again.

P.S. And besides, they are not the cheapest on the net.. google for interparcel, never had problems with them.

  5. Parcel2go!

Where do I start, long story. ordered an item to be delivered through them and the Home delivery network should of delivered it. The item got lost and could not be tracked online, was told that it had been stolen by the HDN courier.

My item turned up a week later and was damaged, I was told by parcel2go to put in a claim for the damage and they say they need to pick it up as salvage... the item is damaged but still works so wish to claim compensation for damage which they fail to get into their tiny minds.

Their online chat is appauling, the people on customer service are not trained enough to do their job, often they wind up until you snap failing to remember you are a customer. You chat to them online and you get delayed responses, there chat names are fictitious. The company is a family run company, when things get escalated you will not get through to the managing director apparently called a fil mercer, you will get some guy called Martin Brown who is the biggest wind up merchant going, he is head of IT and in my mind should not be dealing with escalated complaints.

He says he is an old fashioned type of guy but will never pick up the phone to sort stuff out even if you give him your number, he will tell you that you can only deal with him. I was emotinally blackmailed because I lost my cool with someone on the online chat... lots of chasing up etc. I got blamed for apparently forcing a manager to call me when she had to attend a funeral which I never did, maybe the poor lady should of been given some leave for this but I do wander if this is true anyway.

I find myself having to take these cowboys to court, you can guarantee that if you send any negative feedback it will never go on their website, even if it is about a courier on their books (read the reviews on the net about the Home delivery network.. wish I read this before)

Like most things, companies show what they are made of when things go wrong and this company does not have the business skills to do this. Your business will get more sales through word of mouth then anything, you will never get the real story (unbiased) on their website.... you will find this out by looking on the internet.

Be warned about parcel2go, do your research and use somebody that have superior business skills, if things go worng then dont hesitate taking them to court.... apparently so I was told they have been to court many times and won! all the people taking them to court are liars and want to take them to court for fun. They will use every trick in the book when things go wrong.

A quote from Fil Adams-Mercer as he is known on this website >>> http://blog.taragana.com/pr/sales-soar-as-parcel2gocom-wins-during-postal-strikes-3299/

“This is not a short-term win for us either. We have statistics to show that once people have used Parcel2go they become repeat customers and we don’t strike, in fact the opposite. Our customers are always compensated for any inconveniences, which we try to avoid at all cost.”

Maybe parcel2go should look at this quote again, something that I will be taking to court with me as this is not the case, they will inconvenience you and make things very awkward.... my problem has been going on for over 1 month now and over the christmas period which I could do with out.

If people get problems, report them to trading standards (consumer direct) or as i am going to do is report them to BBC WATCHDOG

  6. What a bunch of prime first class Cunts! the attitude of P"NotGO is one of the reasons we are emigrating in Feb. Britain is full of scumbag wankers raping the general population and "Getting away with it"! we have absolutely NO recourse that does not eat away at our OWN time, I have had more than enough and will be happy to go to a third world country where one can "Expect" (and pay accordingly|) a sub standard service.

ps, good on you for this site.

  7. Hi Folks.

My woes with Parcel2Go and DHL are ongoing. I payed for a guitar on Ebay that was sent within hours and arrived at Hams Hall (spot the common problem warehouse) and there it got lost? That was a week ago and I still don't have the guitar.. it was a one off, so can't order a replacement. They are still looking for it apparently :o(

I will update if it ever gets found.

  8. Geat Site, should be more alike.

Thank you for the warning about Parcel2go

  9. Well after being jerked around for 2 days i did a search for complaints against p2g and found here. Well I think it is realistic to think in terms of a clas action law suit. My reference numbers were P2G2960532 and P2G2960572 these were to be collected on Monday 14 Dec. They were not. Many Live help sessions with promises and assurance they failed to ever collect the parcels. I have dealth with this show of well since talking law suites I will not say. Last year the lost several parcels and were no help. Month of Emails to get £50 which they tried to say would never be paid so I would take a credit with them. So many genuine companies are struggling and going under these should be shut down. Do not use these people, if you have the time bombard Rough Traders and BBC Watchdog with complaints. With over 6000 hits on here if everyone Emailed Trading Standards, BBCWtchdog, Rogue Traders and the Newspapers these would be shut down in no time. So from Damian Collins to P2G I say bring these people to the Courts. Lastly Amazon and Ebay need a huge volume of complaints brought to their attention as then they will also warn people not to use their lack of service or be prone to chargebacks and Paypal claims. Thank you for taking the time to setup this Website. I am considering a Hall Of Shame type web site to expose such Companies but I will be hard pushed to find as bad as P2G.

  10. Have no problem with companies making mistakes. Some people also moaned about failed collections, damaged parcels etc. This is not parcel2go's fault. They are a broker, so even if you went direct, you would have not only paid 'more' but had the same problem.

The problem for me, is that i sent 2 boxes (1 consignment) to Malta. Somehow, one box got lost. Now again, this isn't P2G's fault, i understand that, they are NOT the courier service. I contacted them several times via livechat, email etc and was told it it had been located and would arrive shortly. It didn't and again, this is possibly not P2G's fault either as they could just have been relaying information from the courier.

    This is what IS Parcel2Go's fault;

    1) The LiveRep told me i'd have to wait for a period of time before the parcel could be classed as 'lost'.

    2) I waited and contacted them again via livechat to say it has still not arrived, then i was told I would have to submit my claim immediately as claim could only be honoured within a period of time after sending the parcel!

    3) I sent all information via Royal Mail (not P2Go obviously) and included a note stating; "if you require any further information, please contact immediately and I will forward it immediately".

    4) Again, hadn't heard from them for a while, so the day before the deadline for the claim, i get on LiveChat to find out what is happening with my claim. They then inform I hadn't included all the required information! (which i had!) Then then give me an 'email address' to forward the relevant information (again). Why didn't they give me email address in the first place!? Anyway, forwarded ALL the 'same' information again

    5) Again, a few weeks later, I still hear nothing. I send an email. I'm advised to wait at least 30 days after the claim has been submitted.

    6) I wait 30 days, nothing, send an email, nothing, send another.....

    7) Then told 'sorry for the delay, i will follow this up with immediate effect, blah blah blah... of course.. again i've heard nothing.

The worst thing, is i've paid 'extra' for insurance which now seems pretty pointless and i feel even more robbed than if i didn't. I know that Parcel2go are waiting to recuperated by the loss from the courier company, but this isn't my problem. I've had to send more goods to the customer out of my own pocket, over £150! Why can't they do the same? They are obviously a larger company than me!

  11. Hi guys,

Yep p2g are the biggest load of crap going. Being new to the Ebay selling business I obviously wanted a cheap alternative to lugging large boxes to the Post Office, but wanted to know they would be dealt with effocemt;u and not kicked about from here to eternity!!

    How stupidly wrong was I!!

Virtually 99% of my parcels have had damage goods once arrived at the other end. I have partially refunded my buying customers probably the small equivalent of a small countries yearly budget!!

And then to top it all off, they misplace a parcel full of official man utd merchandise!! This loss was advised to them and I then sent the claim form off and everything to go with it by recorded Delivery as I just knew they would say they hadnt received it and that it was now past the 28 day cuut off point!

(as you can see, I now was starting to think like them!!)

Thanks to the website www.blagger.com I have got the name of the monkeywho owns p2g and i have emailed him and told him basically to get his arse into gear and sort this out.

I am now advising my customers on my Ebay shop suziesaver to collect their items if it is a larger amount as i have absolutely no faith in p2g at all and i can guarantee that it will be damaged by the time it gets to them!!

Gotta say though guys that sent one parcel via royal mail as p2g failed to pick it up and that ended up just as bad ly damaged as a p2g parcel. But royal mail were alot more helpful and dealt with the claim within 7 days.

Why then does it take p2g 12 weeks to process a claim? I even offered to ring the DHL courier who "lost" the parcel myself!! Funny though I didnt get a reply regarding that offer!!

Thanks anyway for letting me have a really good rant. This has been going on for weeks and all I get is the usual its being processed. My arse!! They are hoping I will go away and give up. Hell will freeze over before I do that!!

Keep up the good work and power to the people!!

  12. Hi I sent a parcel through Parceltogo to USA I was desperate to pay some bills as I live on a pension. I sent some beatles toby jugs to the USA and paid an extra £25 for 500.00 of cover. They arrived damaged. The buyer refused delivery. Now parcels to go say I am not covered in my claim as they do not cover damage only loss. I am now in debt to paypal for £572. WHat can I do

  13. We had to smile at your web site. We used P2G and they used DHL - a 5-day promise took 22 days (yes twenty-two days) to deliver, and Lord only knows how much time to phone, use their hopeless 'online chat' and tearing our hair out. Never again.

  14. I WANT ALL THEIR FUCKING HEADS ON PLATES. NOW.

  15. you got pwned use interparcel ;)

  16. Yep, they are shit!!! picked up my parcel, smashed it into many pieces and delivered it to a random address in another county, feeble appologies and excuses, total wankers!, never again!

  17. I operate a small healthcare equipment business which uses Parcel2go 15 to 20 times a day (monday to friday). I have been using their collection and delivery for over 18 months, (sending just over 7000 items in total) and have not had any major problems exept slightly late collections in summer, which can be expected of any courier.

  18. My son sent twp pc's with this shower they arrived smashed to bits. After contacting parcels2go they didn't want to know my son was 100s out of pocket,I make a point now every post i see that asks for a courier or mentions this bunch of cowboys,Of posting and warning people not to use them i wouldn't use them if they were free.

    Keep up the good work

  19. i used them in 05. 31 days later.... promise after promise after promise. never managed to collect.!!! I waited a furthur month for a refund and only got it after threatening legal action. Cant belive they still are trading.... will never use them again even if they are the last carrier on earth....

  20. Hi I posted on this site a litle while back, and had to go through the agony of the claims dept, in the end i took them to a small claims court and made them squirm about, i had photos and receipts ect, they had to pay costs, they turned up at court with a couple of solicitors , its the only way.. i think the only thing that they fear is legal action.

  21. smartparcels are as bad as p2go they took my monie and after 6 e-mails and as many phone calls I waiting for my refund from them they are a total rip off

  22. on Saturday 18th i arranged for a parcel to be collected from mine on Monday 20th Oct 08 and delivered via courier DHL.

i used parcel2go as i have used these 7 times before.

this will be the last time i use them.

i spoke with some one Monday at 4pm asking where the driver was, the reply "it ain't 5:30pm yet" "you have to give us till 5:30pm, before you complain about failed collection"

at 5:32pm, i phone up, phone lines are closed after 5:30pm

no live chat on site either.

i get an email later on, saying collection will be made on 21st.

again, 4pm i phone up, and again, i get told that i have to wait till 5:30pm before i can report a failed collection. so i said that the lines close at 5:30pm, and the answer was "yeah i know"

i was then told that the courier tried to collect on Monday and knocked on my door but no answer, so i told him to stop lying.

    1) i don't have a knocker on my front door, and to get to my front door, you need the combination on the digital lock on the fire door separating my door from communal hallway.

    2) the communal door is on cctv (fitted by myself) and no-one approached during them times.

i explained these facts to him.

he just insisted that the courier will be there in the next hour or so.

    FECK ALL

i have emailed them again, telling them i have wasted 2 full days sat in waiting for this courier to arrive, and that i want 2 written apologies one to myself, and one to eurosky for the failed collection and delivery.

i have just phoned them again Wednesday, and asked what they are playing at, and where their driver is.

the woman said to me, "there was a fire in Manchester at the weekend, which resulted in no vans being able to get to certain parts of Manchester"

why the fuck was i told some one came then on monday, so i asked her about the driver who was supposed to have called on monday, and she said nothing is on her records about a driver knocking on and getting no answer.

she is gonna ring depot hq now and give me an approx time for collection, and ring me back.

they have just phoned me and said that she can't get through to their HQ, and if i wanted i could take my parcel to Warrington depot myself.

why would i arrange a ferkin collection, to go and drop it off myself.

i will never use these again.

  23. Hi

I'm the editor of an online magazine

We employ a lot of freelancers to review DVDs etc. A while ago I sent a parcel through Parcel2go.com and when the reviewer received the parcel it had been opened by DHL and a sticker had been placed on the back saying "Resealed by DHL" A DVD box set had been taken out of the parcel... and it's not like the parcel had come open in the post as I'd sealed it pretty securely.

I claimed through Parcel2go and sent them the mountains of documents they requested (shoe size etc) and waited. They then e-mailed to say I hadn't provided them with a letter from the person who was receiving the parcel - I had, but I sent it again....

Since then... nothing.... and no response to my e-mails. I've e-mailed numerous times but received no reply.

Our websites receive over 120 000 unique visitors a month so, if you can supply me with a logo to this site I will place it on our site.

    Thanks

    Darren

  24. Waste of time. Collections never happen,. No one helps you.. Emails ignored. Chat never answered. If you put a reference in your order that is then your name ...example i tried sending a tent. I am now known as Dear MR Tent....

DO NOT USE>>>> I tried them again seeing if they improved from cocking up every other time ive used them,THEY HAVENT

  25. I can't vouch for Parcel2go, but I have seen the horror stories. However I do work for www.personalshipper.com. I can say we offer a premium service, we have the most competitive insurance in the market, with no excess and we are also so sure we will get it right, that if we don't we offer a 100% refund, which unlike our competitors all our customer service staff and empowered to do and it is instant.

We will also update you via email and soon sms as to what is going on, so you have full visability of your shipment.

I mentioned insurance before, but ours is different to the normal so call compensation cover, which isn't even actually insurance!!! It is fully regulated by the FSA, it has no value limit, no excess and also for example and electric guitar valued at £1000 would cost £2.50 to insure, plus 5% insurance premium tax.

So sorry if this is not relevant, but I just thought I had to say, there is a good alternative out there!!!

  26. If anyone is interested; from the information in the public domain the following details are available for the MD (and majority sharehoder):

  27. They are a bunch of useless cretins.

Not had problems with delivery time, however when I have used them in the past (1-2 years ago), no matter how well I packed my items (double box, a tonne of padding) they arrived at the destination completely smashed to pieces.

It was also impossible to put a claim in as items have to be inspected and signed for as "damaged" when delivered, but obviously this is not the norm and the courriers never hang around long enough to let yet you do this.

P2GO and DHL have destroyed probably £1k+ worth of equipment. I will never use them again and wherever possible I discourage people from using them.

  28. Classic site should set one up for the goverment and all the times those fat mugs have screwed us over!

  29. Parcel despatched to me on 12th March, now 10th April and no parcel. Dispite waiting in all day, on several days, when told the "your parcel is definately out for delivery today" lie. I have lost so much custom and credability by the loss of this parcel its extremely frustrating. My business is new and just getting going, and I have been made to look a fool by the non arrival of my customers orders.

Their customer/claims dept just seem to make it up as they go along. They never call you back and they don't answer e mails of complaint.

We should all write to watchdog and get rid of these blatant liars. DHL are fools to be connected to this company.

  30. Seller off eBay arranged to have my items set by P2G, took 5 days for them to be collected for delivery by DHL

Once collected, delivery was very quick but they had misplaced half of my parcel.

Two boxes were taped together but only one was delivered, e-mailed the seller and they said they would contach DHL, I did the same the following day.

They weren't much help, all they could say is that there were two parcels sent to my address but only one had been delivered - (no s***) that's what I told them!

All they told me to do is contact the sender for them to sort out. Fair enough, I waited for a reply from the seller.

Reply came the next day saying that the other half of the parcel had been returned to them and they would re-send it to me.

Finally, after a week after recieving the first parcel the second one arrived, with a note saying:

THIS PROPERTY HAS BEEN RECOVERED FROM THE LOST PROPERTY DEPARTMENT AT DHL HAMS HALL

The box was partially open and had been re-taped up but luckily everything was still inside.

I have used P2G/DHL 4 times now, but only this time has there been a problem.

I suppose you get what you pay for.

  31. Had a Printer delivered by them that I sold on eBay.

Printer arrived damaged = tried to claim from parcel2go and they said because the person signed for the item they had actually signed to say that it was received in good condition!

How many people in this country are aware of this? not many i bet!

Anyway considering taking them to small claims court because the British people are happy to bend over and let companies, the council and the goverment r*ger us from behind!

  32. I nearly sent some vinyl via Parcel2go once, many many moons ago, and changed my mind last minute and went Parcelforce 24. Thank fook for that!!

Tell you what this site is great. I think I'll do my own soon for Direct line, they forgot to insure me recently, then ran away from any responsibility when I smashed my car up. Those calls they record...they conveniently disappear if theyre in the wrong I tell ya.

I reckon P2G must have a warehouse somewhere with all the stockpiled undelivered items in. Maybe we should all club together and find it...prob worth a fortune, if its not all smashed up!!!

Keep up the good work mate.

  33. hello all, i have just been on the rip-off britain website (www.rip-off.co.uk) that recomends the parcel2go service! i sent this email to them (rip-off.co.uk) "hello, thanks for a great site, just one small problem, could you tell me why you are endorsing parcel2go with a web link on your rip-off britain site? why i ask! because parcel2go are one of the worst courier companies in the uk they may even be the worst! for more information please goggle "parcel2go complaints". this endorsment on your website is harming the credibility of your once excelent website. thanks roy...."

ihave just looked at the rip-off website and the link to parcel2go has been removed..........................VICTORY well a small one at least...........all the best roy......

  34. They took £12 from me and never turned up!

ended up using shitylink but at least it got there

  35. Just read about this woman giving you legal threats about the site.

I say, stick with it - her attitude stinks and she is clearly trying to scare you into taking it down.

Have you thought about emailing the Mirror investigations bit? you know the one where they expose crappy businesses.

You should do it. These lot are taking the piss.

  36. I had a £140 guitar amplifier picked up via a P2G service for which I paid for insurance in mid- December of 2007. I only learnt from the recipient that it had not been received a week or two later.

The tracking showed that it had been delivered, upon ringing DHL they told me it had been delivered to an address in England rather than Scotland where it was supposed to be going but could not give me specifics due to Data Protection(?!). I then contacted P2G who said they would look into it and informed me I better file for a claim which I did.

Ever since then I've been battling with email after email many of which were never answered. The result is I'm going to receive a £50 cheque. Great. What about the rest? What's the point of paying insurance if you get less than half your money back. I've lost Ebay fees, hours and hours of time trying to sort it and become very angry with this incompetent firm. Only one person at the firm has been helpful and that was thanks to me searching high and low for complaints regarding this company latterly. But still I am not happy. I will NOT be using this firm ever again.

It seems to me that someone at P2G could read through what's going to be picked up and say I'll have that and it will conveniently disappear! Ooh a guitar amplifier, my son could do with one of those, let's give it another delivery address and then pretend to look into it afterwards.

Absolutely appalled. I've lost so much time through the negligence of this firm I intend to lose more time informing others how useless they have been.

  37. Yep, Ive been stung twice by them, they do suck,.... royal... to a grand degree, then add some, and then a bit more.. then triple it and you in the general ball park....forget customer service.. forget the claims dept, ( if they actually have one) , in fact just forget them...its pass the batton ( or shitstick) all the way, and hey kids .. theres no finnish line.. and certainly no prizes.. though parcel2go do rack up a lot o points in the grab the money and run race..you just gotta luv the irony of it all... they fart and its your own fault , they sqirm about , shitfting from one lame excuse to the other.

If they dont collect or dont deliver then its "nightmare on collection street" and there plenty of sequels.... there more chance of delivery if you shoot your parcel out of a home made cannon than parcel2go dlivering it, and if it actaully arrives, mute your cheers becuase it will probably be delivered in a million fragented pieces.. sorry half a miilion fragmented peices becuase the other half is probably on the central lane of the M5/burgerking car park, DHL/fedex loading bay..make sure you "shake rattle n roll" before you sign for it.. If you are a hapless"signed for" victim then you will join the merry throng qued up for the online " paranoid android" customer service bot.

My advice.. like my dad says.. if a dog bites you on the arse make sure you go down a different road next time..

  38. Well I have to agree, this company is a joke, they are so disorganised, no one has a clue

My story in short, one parcel to pick up, 3 weeks later & 7 failed collections, phone calls, emails etc, etc. Have I received it yet, no chance

They told me they only have a 4% failure rate, ok 7 bookings, 7 failures, to me as a customer that is 100% failure on my own booking

I used to use them all the time for my business, but no longer, they have lost my tade

  39. Couldn't order a piss up in a brewery. This company really, really really re-define "incompetance"

  40. Bloody joke,

Had a bosch cooking hob collected from these scallies on their 1-2 day PREMIUM service arrived 9 days later.. Packaging all torn to shreds, item in side dented dented as thought it was thrown around.. Same time had (well tried) 5 items to collect which i left outside by the front door only to find a note through the door saying failed collection.!

  41. NEVER AGAIN

Here's what happened to me with 2 separate eBay items, shipped with parcel2go:

Late November - Thorens turntable sent to Holland. Arrived beginning of December, smashed to bits. Contacted parcel2go and received an email telling me that they would send me a claim form. This email also said not to bother replying to their email as emails to this address (claims@parcel2go.com) are not monitored or read - Fair enough.

Received claim form - filled it in and sent all documents required to parcel2go via Recorded Delivery.

14th December received another email from parcel2go telling me my claim had been dismissed because they had not received my documents. I checked the Royal Mail website and have proof of delivery along with a signature. This email also said if I need further information to contact them at claims@parcel2go.com ... Hang on a minute... In their previous email they told me that this email address is not monitored or read.

Next I spend 20 minutes on the phone to an 0870 premium rate number, only to be told that they are not allowed to discuss compensation claims on the phone and that I should email them at claims@parcel2go.com ... "But you don't read or monitor emails to this address". Then the line goes dead.

Sent further 3 messages to parcel2go.com via their 'Contact Us' link. No reply.

13th December - sent 2 X Tannoy Monitor speakers to Cornwall - value just over £800 so sent them 'High Value Items, guaranteed next day delivery - insured up to £2,000'

You guessed it.........Arrived both smashed up - Contacted parcel2go - Received claim form Christmas Eve - Now it's Christmas so I sent the claim form off with all required documents via Recorded Delivery on 28th December - 8th Jan received email from parcel2go telling me claim denied as they hadn't received documents within their '14 days from date of despatch' rule (10 days from date of dispatch before I even received the claim form...!) - spend ages on the phone - they wont talk to me, tell me to email...etc...etc

Am I right in assuming that parcel2go.com rely on the customer just giving up?

What else can you do? You can't contact them via email, you don't get any reply when you use their 'Contact Us' website link and if you can bear the 0870 premium rate number (on hold for ages and YOU'RE paying for the call) when you finally get through they wont discuss it on the phone, you just get told to email.

Has anyone out there ever had a successful claim with p2g? It would be interesting to know.

    parcel2go.com...............no thanks

You really don't have to deal with this outfit. We now exclusively use - www.pharosinternational.co.uk - In the last year we've sent over 180 parcels to destinations all over the world using Pharos. We have made 2 damaged item claims which have both been paid in full. Pharos have excellent customer service and they are VERY reliable, you can get straight through on the phone, they use UPS for all their shipping and THEY'RE CHEAPER than the cowboys. If you go to their website and give them a call you will also get an account with additional discounts - Then, just as an example, you can send 30Kg's to Germany in 2 to 4 days with UPS for just £17.87 including VAT.

  42. Any update on the refund? Loving this site - we should all take note and do this when companies b*lls up so spectacularly!

  43. Just read the reply from Anneka Adams- Mercer shame that said person couldnt be arsed to reply to my letters with regards a 'lost' exhaust. Keep the site up mate

  44. Great idea!! I wish more people would do this. I haven't used parcel2go before but after your problems I won't bother. I have a feeling the way people are in this country tho they will until it happens to them. Don't worry tho mate, they'll never get a penny out of me. I am an ebay powerseller but I'll give all my parcels to the good old lazy boys at the royal mail.

  45. These guys sound totally feckless.... I hope this site helps you get it sorted.

Id suggest offering to sell them the domain name too (if you now own it) once they have refunded your money..otherwise people will be reminded forever-more about how gash a service you were given...

    Nice.

  46. Echo all you points, the worst courier company in the uk. Sold an exhaust via ebay some months back booked through parcel2go and collection was fine never gave it another thought untill two days later when the buyer was informing e that he had not recieved the exhaust. After numerous phonecalls, emaills, letter (3weeks) its was classed as being lost....LOST?????how the fuck can you lose a cat back exhaust. More like some thueving barsteward had it away. Dont ever use these muppets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  47. Excellent way to express yourself fella, keep up the good work and I hope they get to hear of this site. :-)

I will drop the link onto other sites I visit. -)))

    Carl/Scouse.

  48. I have heard complaints about this company from many internet sites, I would rather send parcels by a blind wood pigeon than relay on these.

Excellent work with regards to setting up this site by the way!

  49. I use my local courier for my business accounts, and have never had a problem with them, but I was considering moving to another company to cut costs, and Parcel2Blo were going to be an option, as their prices are very competitive.

However, after reading the information on here, I shall stay well clear

    So thank you kind Sir

parcel2go

New and just as shit for 2010!

Door to Door Courier horror

in my opinion, of course

The courier equivalent of foil balls for your fillings, allegedly.
